About Utility Tools
Most online tools work by uploading your file to a server, processing it there, and sending the result back. That means your bank statement, your ID scan, or your contract sits — even briefly — on someone else's computer.
Utility Tools takes the opposite approach. Every one of the 118 tools on this site runs entirely inside your web browser, using the processing power of your own device. When you merge a PDF or compress a photo here, the file is opened locally, transformed locally, and saved locally. Our servers only ever send you the page — they never see your data.
This design has three practical consequences:
- Privacy by architecture, not by promise. We could not read your files even if we wanted to.
- Speed. There is no upload or download wait — processing starts instantly.
- It works offline. Once a tool page has loaded, most tools keep working without a connection.
The site is free to use and supported by advertising. Ads never interact with the content you process — see the privacy policy for exactly how that works.
